Draft & Publishing

Rallye states

StateDescription
DraftFully editable; not available to coordinators
PublishedContent locked; coordinators can base runs on it

Why is content locked?

When a run is started, the system creates an immutable snapshot of the rallye content. This snapshot is the basis for all submissions and scoring in that run.

If the rallye content could change during a live event, fairness would be compromised — teams would have seen different versions of the challenges. Locking prevents this.

Workflow

  1. Create the rallye in Draft state and review all content.
  2. Publish the rallye when it is ready.
  3. Coordinators can create runs.
  4. If changes are needed: unpublish (if no active runs exist), edit, and publish again.

TIP

Alternatively: duplicate the rallye, edit the copy, and publish the new version.
