Scoring Rules

Each challenge has configurable scoring settings.

Maximum points

The Maximum points field sets how many points a coordinator can award at most. Coordinators then assign a value between 0 and this maximum.

Scoring rubric

The Scoring rules field (free text) lets you provide a scoring rubric for coordinators. Example:

3 points: complete answer with reasoning
2 points: correct answer without reasoning
1 point: partially correct answer
0 points: wrong or no answer

This text is shown to the coordinator next to the submission while scoring.

Quiz auto-scoring

For quiz challenges: when Auto-approve is enabled, a correct answer automatically receives the full score without the coordinator needing to intervene manually.
